Hey sander ik wil 3 websits bij je hosten. Het enige probleem is dat ik je contact gegevens niet heb. Mijn contact gegevens staan op me website. Zou je je contact gegevens kunnen sturen.

Hi There,

I'm affraid you will loose all data. If you want to configure a running system with raid I would suggest making a ufsdump first or use Solaris Disksuite to setup software RAID.

Just out of curiousity, what happens if you have the following situation :

a T2000 with 2 disks. However, you are only using disk 0. Disk 1 is just sitting there.

Now, you already have Solaris installed.... and all of your work is on disk 0.

Can you now run the same "raidctl" commands to set up a RAID with disk1 or will you LOSE all of your data?

Acrobat Reader 8 is available NOW on Solaris x86 through a free SPARC emulator, all packaged together. See my blog entry for details:
http://blogs.sun.com/DanX/entry/acrobat_reader_8_for_solaris

Or you can wait for Acrobat 10 reader for Solaris x86 that's supposed to arrive in 2009.

Transitive has developed a solution for this problem, by creating a freely downloadable version of Adobe Reader for Solaris/x86 users. The product combines the latest Solaris/SPARC version of Adobe Reader 8.1.2 with Transitive's QuickTransit technology, which allows SPARC applications to run on x86-based systems. The new QuickTransit Adobe Reader can be downloaded from:
http://www.transitive.com/reader
This solution, which has been endorsed by Adobe, will be made available free of charge until Adobe ships a natively-compiled version of Adobe Reader 9 for Solaris/x86 some time in 2009. More information can be found here:
http://www.transitive.com/news/press_full/145
QuickTransit Adobe Reader is a single downloadable file and its functionality and user experience is identical to a natively-compiled version of Adobe Reader. Transitive welcomes feedback from Solaris/x86 users on this new PDF viewing solution.
