I bought a 2nd hand fishing rod. Its a Peter Koopman self built x-heavy feeder. Its made out of kevlar carbon. Together with a Shimano rail for 75 EURO. Not bad. This will come in handy during the competitions I am planning to fish next year.
Due to the nice weather last weekend (Sat 14 and Sun 15 april) I went fishing inside a nice channel (De Lage Vaart) in Almere. It has been 2,5 years since I last fished inside holland. The weather was perfect (Sat 27 Degrees and Sun 30 Degrees) and the spot was perfect. I didn’t catch that many fish.
On Saturday, I started with my SPRO 8.0 Meter fishing rod, caught 1 small fish. Then switched to the medium Feeder and caught another 4 fish of which 1 big bream. I brought the big bream home because my wife wanted to try eating the fish. It was a lot of work to clean it but it was actually very tastefull which I didn’t expect it to be.
On Sunday, I started and ended with my medium feeder, caught a total of 6 fish and no big ones.
